I WAS THE GIRL WHO COULDN'T SPEAK.
You know how they say, "dance like no one's watching, sing like you're in the shower?"
Well... for most of my life, I couldn't. Hell, i couldn't even bob my head or shoulders up and down to happy music. "Quiet" or "Shy" didn't even begin to describe who I was. I didn't know it back then but I was introverted, incredibly empathic, suffered from trauma, labeled as mute, and carted off to psychiatrists by the first grade. I played small to keep myself safe and never would’ve believed I’d grow up and inspire my clients to BUST down the blocks of what holds them back. My belief? In this world that tells you to stay small and quiet.... the world that tells you NOT to rock the boat.... YOU, my dear... were born to stand out. You're here for a very special reason and the painful events you might’ve gone through during your life, are the exact reason why YOU are the answer to someone else’s problem. You are the answer to someone else’s prayers. Their beacon of light. And it’s my job to make sure that your path is as clear and resistance-free as possible. I’m so glad you've decided to take this step to dig deeper, rather than be comfortable with staying at the surface level. |
CREDENTIALS AND SHIT.
Coaching doesn't have rules and regulations the way therapy and psychology does. So please tread carefully as you pick a coach. I'm not saying this to steer you towards hiring me (cuz honestly... i very seldomly have room in my schedule and I want YOU to get support!).
If this credential stuff matters to you:
I studied Psychology and Applied Developmental Psychology at UCLA. I have a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from one of the top programs nationwide - San Diego State University. I’m certified as a Master Practitioner of Mental and Emotional Release® Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Neurolinguistic Programming (Tony Robbins stuff). I’ve also done spiritual stuff like angel card readings, energy healing, Reiki, etc. I graduated from The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), an ICF-accredited program. I didn't have to attend a coach training (esp after my Counseling degree, but I wanted to do better).
What I’ve found is it means jacksh*t all the degrees you collect, esp in an industry where it's the wild wild west.
It matters more that you connect with people doing what you love and you make a damn difference... and be freaking ethical, dude.
